FRAGMENTED LIVES

Living Arts of Tulsa, 307 E MB Brady St, TULSA

Tulsa has a large homeless population, many with mental illnesses and substance abuse issues, and few have an outlet for artistic expression or the opportunity to share their talents. Fragmented Lives is a cabaret event curated by Deborah Hunter dealing with Mental Health and Homelessness, where homeless and non-homeless individuals create poetry, spoken word, dance and performance art, music and multimedia artworks. This will be an “inside/outside” project that provides people living in the margins of society the opportunity to express themselves and tell their stories and with established artists (both inside and outside street life) who are adept at telling stories through their particular disciplines.
